During a wax, a licensed esthetician applies warm wax to the target areas. The wax is then quickly removed along with the hair, from the root, using strips or a hard wax that hardens on its own. The process is done in sections, ensuring all hair is removed.

Waxing can cause some discomfort, as hair is being removed from the root. However, the level of pain varies from person to person. The sensation is often described as a quick sting, which subsides shortly after the wax is removed. Our experienced estheticians take measures to make the process as comfortable as possible.

For the best results, the hair should be at least ¼ inch long  (roughly the length of a grain of rice) This allows the wax to adhere to the hair properly and facilitates effective hair removal.

The results of a wax can last anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. It's important to note that hair needs to grow back to a sufficient length before it can be waxed again. The ideal w

To prepare for a wax, it's recommended to:

  • Allow the hair to grow to the appropriate length (at least ¼ inch).
  • Cleanse the area thoroughly before the appointment.
  • Avoid applying any creams, lotions, or oils to the area before the waxing session.
  • Communicate any concerns or questions you may have with your esthetician.

During a Brazilian waxing session:

  • You will undress from the waist down and lie on a treatment table.
  • The esthetician will cleanse the area and apply the warm wax.
  • The wax will be quickly removed, along with the hair, using strips or by directly removing the hardened wax.
  • The process will be repeated in sections until the desired areas are hair-free.
  • Afterward, your esthetician will apply a soothing lotion or gel to calm the skin.

When performed by a licensed and experienced professional, waxing is generally considered safe. Our estheticians adhere to strict hygiene practices and use high-quality wax and products to minimize the risk of irritation or infection.

Yes, you can still get a Brazilian wax while menstruating. However, you will need to use a tampon  or menstrual cup during the waxing session for hygiene purposes. Some people do experience more discomfort right before and during their cycle.  Communicate with your esthetician if you have any concerns, as they can accommodate your needs.

After a wax (especially Brazilians), it's important to:

  • Avoid activities that may cause excessive sweating or friction in the waxed area for at least 24 hours.
  • Wear loose-fitting clothing to prevent irritation.
  • Avoid hot baths, saunas, or sun exposure for the first 24 hours.
  • Apply Finipil lotion (available for purchase in the salon) to wet skin, post-shower, daily  to sooth skin, prevent ingrown hairs, and reduce regrowth over time.
  • After 24-48 hours, exfoliate the area gently each day (in the shower) to prevent ingrown hairs.
